Introduction to Philosophy
Abstract
The introduction covers three main areas of philosophy: ethics, epistemology and metaphysics. The problems we introduce are the following.
  • What is the right/wrong thing to do?
  • Do we have free will?
  • Do we know anything about the world?
  • What are mental states? What is consciousness
  • What is a just society and state?
Introduction to Logic
Abstract
A first course in logic. It covers basics of argumentation, reasoning. The focus is on proofs and models. No meta-theory.
Argumentation and Writing
Abstract
A first course in argumentation or critical thinking. Half the courses covers deductive, inductive arguments and inference to best explanation. The other covers argument objections and different kinds of informal fallacies.
Ethics
Abstract
A first course in ethical theory.
